Intake

Please call us during our consultation hours. In a personal conversation, we will clarify whether our shelter is the right place for you.

Introductory meeting

If we have the mutual impression that we can offer you the right support, we will arrange a personal meeting to get to know each other.
During this meeting, further questions can be clarified and a possible move into the shelter can be discussed.
The meeting takes place in the offices of the counseling center of Frauen*hilfe München or at the Munich Information Center for Men.

Documents

  • ID card, passport, or birth certificate

  • Health insurance card, vaccination record

  • Proof of income, recent bank statements

  • If applicable: certificate from the registry office regarding a change of civil status

  • If applicable: court decision under the Transsexual Act (TSG)

  • If applicable: extract from the birth register

Personal Items

  • Medication and medical aids (e.g. hormone preparations, binders, gaffs, prostheses)

  • Clothing and other personal items that are important to you

If you are unable to bring all the necessary documents with you, we will support you in organizing them later.

On your moving-in day, we will provide you with a meeting point where one of our staff members will meet you. From there, we will accompany you to the shelter.

This procedure helps us maintain the confidentiality of the shelter’s address.
Please keep this information strictly private — it is essential for the safety of all residents.

At the shelter, we will show you your own room, help you settle in calmly, and introduce you to the team and the other residents.
You are not alone – our team will accompany you step by step, confidentially and respectfully.
